Friday evening

Once you have settled in, why not take a stroll in to the town and have an early evening drink, either in front of a lovely roaring fire in winter, or in the rear courtyard of Avanti’s in the summer. Follow this up with either a romantic dinner at one of the many restaurants, or a family meal at the cottage. Don’t fancy cooking , there are plenty of takeaway options. If you do decide to eat in you can relax afterwards in the cosy lounge with a DVD and bottle of wine.

Saturday

Waking after a restful nights sleep, leave the car parked and have a lovely walk past the Sun Inn, through the Church Yard and down to Ruskin’s View. From here you can either meander along to Devils Bridge which is a popular hit in the summer time for picnics or take a more strenuous walk to Casterton where you can look forward to a well deserved lunch at the Pheasant.

In the afternoon why not take in the lovely and varied shops around the town. The kids will enjoy the Chocolate mine, ladies all the lovely clothes, shoes and bags and there’s even an out door shop, art galleries and hardware store for the Gents.

Chance to try some more delicious food, head to either Plato’s, Avanti, The Sun Inn or The Orange Tree to mention a few. If eating in is more your style you will find the kitchen well equipped, and in the summer the rear garden is great for alfresco dining.
