Saturday Morning-A gentle stroll with Sea lion spotting

Wonderful long beach’s stretching as far as the eyes can see provide the perfect start to the day. Enjoy a stroll with a loved one and sample the fresh sea air and panoramic views from Tentsmuir Beach. Tentsmuir beach offers divine clean sands and is accompanied by forest pines and vast wildlife making it a great destination for sharing a romantic picnic with your partner. If you’re lucky enough your gentle stroll down the beach may be topped off by seeing hundreds of seals basking on the sandbars.  

If the beach is not for you why not take a wonder through the Tentsmuir National Nature Reserve. The Reserve is recognised internationally for its special habitats and rich variety of plants, birds and other animals. There are many waymarked walks through the towering pine trees forming Tentsmuir forest. Look for red squirrels and roe deer which live in the woodland.

Saturday Afternoon-everyone going a little bit potty

Try your hand at Pottery at Crail Pottery. Famed for its picturesque harbour and historic buildings Crail is an ideal place to visit for those couples looking for something a little different.  Visit Crail Pottery, See the workshops, browse in the showroom and relax in the secluded yard under the fruit trees. The pottery experience is sure to provide a relaxing but interesting slant on your getaway to Scotland.

Head towards St Andrews to discover castles, cathedrals and historic monuments.  St Andrews Castle has ruins dating back from the 13th Century. Discover a ‘bottle-dungeon’ and explore a mine and counter mine tunnelled during the siege that followed the murder of Cardinal Beaton in 1546. The ruins are truly mesmerising and are perfect chance to take some unforgettable camera shots of your weekend getaway.

For those of you who are more interested in living the presence than reminiscing the past then why not head towards the St Andrew Aquarium. St Andrews aquarium boasts an underwater word of adventure with a number of beautiful, fascinating and dangerous creatures on show. From native sharks to seahorses, lobsters to lionfish and seals to octopus’s St Andrews Aquarium has it all, keeping you entertained for hours.

Sunday Morning & Early Afternoon

Fife has a full range of outstanding Couples attractions with one being Blair Drummond Safari and Adventure Park. A visit to the park includes a mixture of driving through animal reserves, then parking and walking through pet’s farm, taking in the sea lion and falconry displays and visiting Chimp Island.  Some of the favourite residences consist of tigers, gorillas, zebra, giraffes, camels and monkeys.
